Radio Technician Music Centre

During the USSR, products from the Baltic were known to every resident of the country of councils. Started in the morning when the Maika, Orbita or Selga radios were broadcasting non-chemical exercises and music. VEF phones provided uninterrupted communication and RAF minibuses provided comfort travel. Lucky people could afford a musical centre called Melodia, but the acquisition of a Skif magnetophonic could now be compared with the purchase of a flagship smartphone. And the phrase "pa's brought from the Pribaltics" said a lot, because it was a common brand for the quality product. What's left of all this greatness now?

Such love for products from the Baltic republics has been supported by the State ' s policy of developing labour-intensive industries such as engineering, electrical and radio electronics. In the post-war years, new enterprises were built and existing in the republics were growing. By 1973, products from the Baltic Economic Area were supplied by 80 per cent by the Domestic Electric Computing Union, by 53 per cent by telephone, 30 per cent by wagons and 23 per cent by radios and tape recorders. What happened to factories and factories built during industrial prosperity in the region?

Goods that once swallowed the entire Union are now museum exponents or are being sold to barholics for copies. And the vast area of the factories, their buildings, their ces, the pipes, is like, the decoration of the horror movie, rather than the time of their good work.

The Golden Days of Latvian Electricity and Radio Technicians are primarily linked to the two main enterprises, the Rizhn State Electrical Plant VEF and the Rije Radio Technician. The first was one of the strongest industries in the region, produced almost everything from telephones to military products and provided jobs to 20,000 people. The area occupied by the factory was small in the area. Like any enterprise of that time, apart from the productive function, the factory supported the social and cultural life of its employees: concerts, dances and various entertainment events were held in the house, weddings took place in the canteens; health clinics in the enterprise monitored workers ' health and sports halls followed their form and appearance.
